Forum Post: Touchscreen through HMIQSHDI + HMX1070

Hello, Background: We have American Industrial Systems, Inc Touchscreen (DTR17T100-A1-PCT) connected to HMX1070 user station through USB and a PC with Windows 7 connected to HMIQSHDI transmitter. The transmitter and user station (firmware version for both is 6.30.0.21) are connected directly with a network CAT-6 cable. According to touchscreen manufacturer for Windows 7 "The DTR17T100-A1/PCT is Microsoft® Windows® HID (Human Interface Device) compatible if you use the USB touch screen interface. No additional software driver is required for general operation of the touch screen." Problem: The touchscreen works well when connected through USB to the PC (through USB extender) but it does not work when connected through HMIQSHDI + HMX1070 (it acts only as a standard monitor, the touch does not work). Standard keyboard and mouse works fine. The HMX1070 user station shows that a USB controller (from touchscreen) is connected to it but the PC does not know that the touchscreen is connected to it. Question: Any idea how to fix it? Is there any USB setting needed for the user station or transmitter? Regards, Andy
