The arrow keys do not work which is a big problem for the BIOS. The key repeat is too quick and I cannot type anything because every key is typed at least twice even when being careful/slow. I have the latest software from 2010 installed, does anyone have a solution?

Forum Post: Touchscreen through HMIQSHDI + HMX1070
Hello, Background: We have American Industrial Systems, Inc Touchscreen (DTR17T100-A1-PCT) connected to HMX1070 user station through USB and a PC with Windows 7 connected to HMIQSHDI transmitter. The transmitter and user station (firmware version for both is 6.30.0.21) are connected directly with a network CAT-6 cable. According to touchscreen manufacturer for Windows 7 "The DTR17T100-A1/PCT is Microsoft® Windows® HID (Human Interface Device) compatible if you use the USB touch screen interface. No additional software driver is required for general operation of the touch screen." Problem: The touchscreen works well when connected through USB to the PC (through USB extender) but it does not work when connected through HMIQSHDI + HMX1070 (it acts only as a standard monitor, the touch does not work). Standard keyboard and mouse works fine. The HMX1070 user station shows that a USB controller (from touchscreen) is connected to it but the PC does not know that the touchscreen is connected to it. Question: Any idea how to fix it? Is there any USB setting needed for the user station or transmitter? Regards, Andy

Forum Post: need to configure the Avocent according to Infosec standard
BMC Software infosec asks for the below things for scanning. This is the criteria for a scan to be successful and the reason why scan was giving an error every time. The ShellLogon scripts depend on the command prompt format to effectively send out shell commands. If the Administrator uses a custom command prompt, it must meet the following criteria: • The prompt must be terminated by a $, >, %, or # character (excluding. my prompt$) • The prompt must be surrounded by [ ] brackets (excluding. [my prompt]) • Color prompts are not supported For example, the following prompt would be successful: • [my prompt] # The following prompts would not be successful: • my prompt • my prompt# • [my prompt] [my prompt #] (colored prompt text) Please help me if you we can configure the machine according to the above creteria. Forum Post: Stubborn HMIQSHDI Transmitter
Hi guys, I just pulled an HMIQSHDI from storage that is giving me a big headache. I'm trying to configure it and upgrade its firmware via an HMX1070. The HMX 1070 that I'm using works perfectly fine with all of my other HMIQSHDIs. Not sure what firmware the HMIQSHDI is running, but the HMX 1070 is up to date and running v6.30.0.21. When I try to access the 'Transmitter Menu' I get the error 'Unable to connect to the Transmitter.' My 1070 is in Extended mode. When I try to 'Detect Transmitter Address' nothing happens. It just says PHY DOWN and PHY UP and sits there. I've tried just setting my receiver to various 10, 169, and 192 addresses with an 8-bit subnet mask to see if that would help, but it didn't. Any thoughts?

Forum Post: LV1000R only recognizes one USB input
We've been using LV1000R with AMIQDM-USB extender on an HP ML570G3 server for the last few years. The HP server runs Windows 2003 Server and everything is working great. Now we're in the midst of tech refreshing the HP server and replacing it with an Oracle X5-2L server running Windows 7 Enterprise OS. This server has a VGA output and USB ports so we intended on just using the same Avocent LV1000R. However, when we hook up the extender, the LV unit will only recognize either the keyboard or the mouse, not both at the same time. We are using just USB ports, not the PS/2 ports. Is this a configuration issue with Windows 7, a driver issue? Will we need to update the LV1000R - i'd rather not...money always being an issue. What kind of information do you need to further troubleshoot?

Forum Post: PM3000 going offline on Dsview 4
We have a site with 6 racks managed by MPU devices with 2 PM300s. However, overnight we have noticed that certain PDUs have gone offline and are reporting with status of "unknown" on Dsview4. We are prevented from power cycling any of the hardware connected. We have rebooted the mpus, removed the cables but with no joy. In one case they PM3000 does come back online but within a minute reports offline again. Any help would be appreciated as we operate a dark site

Forum Post: Network Connection Error when attempting to connect to a server
I can log onto Autoview, Avocent switch, with no problems. Once I log in I attempt to connect to one of my servers connected to the switch and I get a Java message stating "Network connection error." I have tried connecting on a MAC OS X 10.10.5 system using Firefox, Safari, Chrome. I installed the newest version of Java. I also tried on Windows 8 and 10 system using Firefox and IE 11. I also temporarily turned off Windows Firewall. I get the same error with each attempt. I even unplugged the switch for 30 seconds and plugged it back in. Nothing helps. I am fresh out of ideas. Can anyone help?

Forum Post: Faulty Avocent PM3009H unit - serial number 0510237154 - please can we arrange an RMA or further technical assistance, thank you
Please can you help...? hilary.rodrigues@electrosonic.com Previous Correspondence I am contacting you because we have found a faulty Avocent PM3009H unit - serial number 0510237154. We have not been able to disconnect the over-current protection following your previous email, as follow: Hello, The PM3000 series is equipped with an over-current protection. The following are indicators that the over-current protection was triggered: - red LED on one, multiple or all outlets - EEE or FFF shown on the display - beep sound To reset the over-current protection press and hold one of the keys (SW1 or SW2) on the PM for at least two seconds or navigate with a web browser to the web interface of the unit and reset the over-current protection from there. On 32A models and 3 phase models the build-in fuse could have triggered as well and it may be necessary to replace it. For details see "Appendix D: Replacing the Fuses" on the PM1000/2000/3000 manual. The manual is available at http://tinyurl.com/cgbs7j6 (Avocent Power Management Distribution Unit > PM PDU Installer/User Guide). There is a fuse replacement kit available for purchase, the order number is ACC0001. Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Kind regards, Andreas Stempfhuber When we tried to press for over 2 seconds the SW1 and/or SW2 buttons the unit remains with the triple FFF and does not change or reboot the over-current protection. Also, we have not been able to reset the CPU pressing (for long and short time) the associated button for that purpose in the back of the unit and/or neither get web access to the control browser once the unit has been connected to the network (the unit can be identified in the network and get an IP, but we are not able to access to the control browser via Mozilla or Internet Explorer with the IP associated to manage the unit). The third try was to follow the manual for the device to access and reset the unit and go through the configuration process from the beginning, but I have not got any success as these unit have been preconfig from you for Google and we only have access via the support user. So, according with the above described, I would appreciate if you could advice how to proceed.

Forum Post: Latest Firmware for ACS48
Under the legacy download page, I see that there is a v3.3.0-17 available for the ACS Classic Advanced Console Servers, but the Release Notes point to v3.3.0-10. Is firmware v3.3.0-17 valid for the legacy ACS48, and does it fix the POODLE vulnerability? Thanks.

Forum Post: Internet Explorer cannot display webpage
DSView 4. this was working a few weeks ago, launch DSView Software or IE and type in localhost. Internet Explorer cannot display webpage. When I click Diagnose Connection problems it "couldn't identify the problem". As soon as I click close - it goes to the log in page fine? Incidentally - google chrome no longer works either : Server has a weak ephemeral Diffie-Hellman public key This error can occur when connecting to a secure (HTTPS) server. It means that the server is trying to set up a secure connection but, due to a disastrous misconfiguration, the connection wouldn't be secure at all! Any idea what has changed and how I can fix this?
