Hello,
The Avocent MPU2032 I use is primarily used for imaging multiple machines. These machines are booted from a USB flash drive and then pull the files need from network storage.
What I'd like to be able to do is put the USB flash drive in the USB port on the Avocent, and then have the connected machines be able to boot from the USB flash drive as if it was plugged directly into them. However, I have not been able to get this to work. I create an active session with the machine to be imaged, map the USB stick to the session as virtual media, and then boot the machine. While it shows the Avocent connected as a boot option, it fails to boot from the Avocent.
Even when I have a fully running machine connected remotely and map the USB to it through the active port, the only thing that shows up is a new CD drive, usually labelled E:, which does not show any files when it was clicked on (Just the generic 'Please insert a disk into CD Drive (E:).)
I've also tried connecting through the Avocent through OBWI and mapping a flash drive through the video viewer window without any luck.
The Avocent firmware is 1.20.12.23112 .The IQ modules are DSAVIQ-USB2.
Any suggestions about what I may be doing wrong?
